Job Description and Duties

Anticipated Interview Dates: In-person interviews are anticipated to be held three weeks after every cutoff date. We look forward to meeting with you!

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

This position will run until filled with the following cutoff date for review: 1/18/24, 2/8/24, 2/29/24, and every three weeks until filled.

The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) actively seeks a talented Digital Content & Projects Analyst to join our creative team in the Office of Public Affairs (PAOF). In this role, you'll play an integral part in optimizing our digital presence by managing web publishing projects and maintaining engaging content for CalPERS websites and digital platforms. If you have a deep understanding of project coordination, web best practices and digital content management, we want to hear from you! Working Conditions

  • Work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with alternate work schedule changes as necessary. 
  • This position is designated as office-centered and works primarily onsite at the Sacramento, CA Headquarters at least three weekdays. 
  • Cubicle workstation environment. 
  • May work overtime as needed based on organizational needs.

Special Requirements

Statement of Qualifications
Please provide a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring manager’s review. Applications received without an SOQ or those that do not respond to the specific questions below will not be considered.

The SOQ must be typed, titled “Statement of Qualifications”, and each response must be numbered and list all relevant experience, education, and training, including places of employment, dates, and duties performed. The SOQ must not exceed two pages in length and must not have font smaller than 11-point.
  1. Describe your experience managing communications projects that required you to collaborate with internal customers or stakeholders. 
  2. Describe your experience writing for the web in plain language while adhering to style and brand guidelines, explaining your knowledge of best practices for web and other digital communications channels. 
  3. Describe your experience using a content management system to update web content, explaining your knowledge of best practices for web including accessibility, user experience and website structure.

Minimum Qualifications
All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification should be included in your application package to clearly demonstrate how you meet the MQs for this position.
