Job Description and Duties

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

The Employment Development Department's (EDD), Field Audit & Compliance Division's (FACD), Central Operations, is looking for two (2) motivated, creative, Associate Governmental Program Analysts (AGPA) or Staff Services Analysts (SSA), to join our team as Operations Analysts in the Operations & Strategic Planning Group (OSPG)!

The incumbent will be responsible for developing, maintaining, reviewing, monitoring, tracking and making recommendations regarding critical technology inventories, lists, and rosters that FACD maintains along with support of technology applications. Analyzing and monitoring budgets and data warehoused in existing systems and processes from the central office and field offices. Gathering and analyzing facility and program data to meet requirements for premises along with preparation of required reporting.

The analyst will handle sensitive issues in a professional, expedient manner and perform a variety of programmatic, strategic and operational planning activities such as: technology testing efforts, serving on teams, providing customer service, coordination with other groups, and participation on business process improvement projects. The ideal analyst is knowledgeable about the Field Audit and Compliance Division's (FACD) programs, policies, procedures and management of program data.

This position may be filled at either the AGPA or SSA level for recruitment purposes!

This position is headquartered in downtown Sacramento, CA and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Background Investigation Requirement

The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.

The department will make an individualized assessment of whether the conviction history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job and the work performed by the department. The investigation will consist of completion of a personal history statement and fingerprinting checks with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, and/or local law enforcement agencies.
