Job Description and Duties

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) seeks to fill a Permanent/Full Time Training Officer (TO) I position in the Staff Development Unit (SDU). Under general direction of a Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), SDU, the incumbent will assess the complex and sensitive training needs of health care staff statewide and assist in the development of a comprehensive training plan to address the needs based on the goals and objectives of the CCHCS. Travel independently as needed.

Please Note: The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) examination Certification Listing will be utilized as an appropriate classification for the TO I position. To obtain list eligibility for this recruitment, you must qualify for and take the AGPA examination as well as meet the Minimum Qualifications for the TO I classification.

Working Conditions

Located less than 30 minutes from Sacramento and Lodi, the progressive city of Elk Grove has a great mix of newly developed housing, business projects, and recreational opportunities.  You will truly enjoy working at our campus-style office complex (FREE PARKING), and perhaps even call Elk Grove home.

Positions eligible for hybrid telework, must be in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
