OUR MISSION: The California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) supports economic growth and innovation and ensures that ALL California small businesses and innovative startups have the information and direct support they need to better navigate resources, programs, and regulations. CalOSBA serves as the voice of small businesses, representing their views and interests across the state and advocating for equitable access to capital, markets, and networks so that all California small businesses successfully start, manage, scale, and become more resilient.

The Small Business Marketing Manager supports the implementation of the CalOSBA programs, policies, and activities and serves as the brand strategist for all CalOSBA marketing material. This individual is responsible for production of marketing assets across multiple channels and overseeing the marketing team’s workflow and quality. This individual is responsible for creating accessible/relatable marketing and outreach campaigns and ensuring that these efforts reach all California small businesses including those underserved small business groups.


This position works under supervision from the Deputy Director and indirect supervision from the Director.

Working Conditions

Hybrid: this position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires reporting in-person at headquarters in Sacramento 2 times a week . #li-hybrid

Salary

1. Describe your experience developing educational and/or outreach marketing materials, such as fact sheets, brochures, and info graphics, in addition to creating internal marketing campaigns that include scripts for video productions to market the organization’s brand. Please describe your role and responsibilities and your process and how you plan and track projects and assignments.

2.Describe your experience leading and directing the work of others for internal marketing campaigns, social media marketing, and website design, development, and maintenance, in addition to providing marketing /website analytics to monitor and track customer engagement on social media platforms(.i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram).Please describe your role sand responsibilities.

3. Describe your experience preparing written documents for publication, i.e., for example writing press releases, talking points, and developing language for internal marketing campaigns. Also, Identify your experience working with strategic partners to provide guidance, and share best practices and guidelines for the industry focused organization’s brand strategy while maintaining consistent and timely products. Please describe your roles and responsibilities.
