The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) will be the only basis for your final score and rank on the eligible list. Resumes, letters, and other materials will not be evaluated or considered as responses to the SOQ. The SOQ is a narrative description of how an applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities meet the qualifications for this position. Each applicant must complete and submit his or her SOQ responding to all factors listed in the Statement of Qualifications section.
The SOQ will be evaluated based on the quality of examples provided with each question. The SOQ serves as the examination for this CEA recruitment and shall be the basis for the candidates final score and rank on the eligibility list. Based on the panel's evaluation of the competitive group, interviews will be conducted with only the most qualified candidates. Each candidate will be notified in writing of his/her examinations results. Applications without an SOQ or incomplete SOQ’s will be eliminated from the examination.
Length of List Eligibility
The results of this examination will only be used to fill the position of Deputy Director, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Division - CEA A and may be used to fill subsequent vacancies for this position for a period of up to 12 months. The department may elect to consider new applicants in addition to those previously screened.

Qualifications requirements does not assure a place on the eligible list. Your performance in the examination will be compared with
the performance of others who take this examination, and all successful candidates will be ranked according to their scores.
A minimum rating of 70% must be attained in the Examination to obtain list eligibility for this position. All candidates will receive
written notification of their examination results.
The results of this examination will only be used to fill this position. Applications will be retained for twelve months.
Hiring interviews for the Job may be conducted with the most qualified candidates.
The examining Department reserves the right to revise the examination plan to better meet the needs of the service, if the circumstances
under which this examination was planned change. Such revision will be in accordance with civil service law and rules and all competitors
will be notified.
