Job Description and Duties

The Financial and Performance Evaluator III is the working specialist or super-journeyperson level. Under general direction, incumbents independently and proficiently handle the most complex, visible, and/or sensitive assignments. Incumbents in this series are typically specialists who have demonstrated strong analytical abilities and a comprehensive understanding of a broad range of financial and program issues, including standards and criteria issued by authoritative bodies. Specialists at this level develop expertise and serve as a resource in specific fiscal and program areas. Incumbents assist in staff development and serve in a lead capacity over lower-level staff.

Special Requirements

Finance operates under a hybrid telework model, which requires employees to work in the office (report to headquarters) for a minimum of two days during the workweek. The hybrid policy is subject to change, and additional in-office days may be required at management's discretion.

EXAMINATION INFORMATION

To establish eligibility for the Financial and Performance Evaluator (FPE) III classification, you must take and pass the online Staff Management Auditor exam and meet the minimum qualifications for both the FPE III and Staff Management Auditor classifications to be eligible for appointment.
