Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager (SSM), I, Administrative Branch, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) (Outreach Analyst), is the initial primary contact for DMFEA's outreach efforts. The AGPA prepares, updates, and distributes training materials that are used by long-term care facilities, criminal justice agencies, and governmental and non-governmental organizations to inform, educate, and promote referrals.  The AGPA facilitates outreach efforts to governmental and non-governmental organizations to improve compliance with mandatory reporting of elder abuse. The incumbent plans, organizes, and performs highly complex analyses, and internal audits and studies on a wide range of outreach activities in preparation for the annual Federal recertification questionnaire and the Federal grant application.  The incumbent will analyze, understand, and apply parameters set forth by 77 FR 32645, for the Office of the Inspector General's (OIG) Performance Standards and relevant national public policies, including OIG policy transmittals.

 

This position requires frequent travel locally and throughout the state. Therefore, possession of a valid California Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. Please answer the

  • Please note that the SSA classification contains multiple salary ranges. New-to-State employees will be given the minimum salary Range A, unless you meet Alternate Range Criteria 69 as follows:

    Range A. This range shall apply to those individuals who do not meet the criteria for Range B or Range C.

    Range B. This range shall apply to persons who have satisfactorily completed the equivalent to six months of Staff Services Analyst (Range A) or Staff Services Analyst, Fair Political Practices Commission (Range A), or Management Services Technician (Range B), and may apply to persons who have the equivalent of six months of satisfactory experience outside of State service performing analytical duties similar to those of a Staff Services Analyst.

    Range C. This range shall apply to persons who have graduated from a recognized four-year accredited college or university; or who satisfactorily completed the equivalent of 12 months of Staff Services Analyst (Range B) or Staff Services Analyst, Fair Political Practices Commission (Range B), experience; and may apply to persons who have the equivalent of 18 months of satisfactory experience outside the State service performing analytical duties similar to those of Staff Services Analyst.

  • Ability to independently perform field liaison work to determine audit compliance within various agency types.
  • Ability to facilitate training and working sessions using multiple delivery methods, including webinars, conference calls, and recorded media. 
  • Excellent organizational skills to ensure audit findings are issued in a timely manner.
  • Diplomacy in working with agencies to address compliance issues and work towards a resolution. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint software, as well as different types of case management systems/programs.
