Job Description and Duties

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by providing the most difficult and complex administrative and clerical support; coordinating mail services; handling copier services; maintaining the record retention schedule; distributing constituent queries; and reporting maintenance issues for the Radiologic Health Branch (RHB).

The Office Technician (General) [OT (G)] works under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) in the Program Operations Unit.

The Program Operations Unit (POU) is responsible for all administrative support functions for the Radiologic Health Branch (RHB). This includes, but is not limited to, budget, contracts, procurement of equipment and supplies, paying invoices, personnel matters, attendance, training, travel, and incoming and outgoing mail. Not only does the POU staff work closely with RHB staff, but POU staff also work closely with the Department’s service programs, such as Accounting, Budgets, Civil Rights, Contracts Management Unit, Facilities, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Information Technology, Purchasing Services, and Training.
