Job Description and Duties

This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required.

The Operations and Support Section (OSS) is seeking individuals who are passionate about policy improvement, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning. This position offers opportunities for professional growth, including ongoing training on auditing standards, compliance, and policy implementation.

As a member of this team, the incumbent will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly as they pertain to the Single Audit Act and related requirements. The analyst will review audit reports, resolve findings, and provide guidance to ensure fiscal accountability and transparency across CDSS programs. The work that OSS performs directly contributes to the effective management of federal and state funds, supporting critical programs that serve California's most vulnerable populations.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are temporary in nature and shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months.

 

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
