Job Description and Duties

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one, Permanent Term, Full-time Accounting Officer (Specialist) position within the Division of Fiscal Management Office's Accounts Receivable and Cashiering Unit. This position is in-office work located in the Sacramento office. Thisrecruitment may be used to fillsubsequent vacancies ofthese positions within the next 180 days.

Under close supervision from the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs professional accounting duties of average difficulty in the establishment and maintenance of accounting records for the revenue, reimbursements, and abatements billed and received by the Department in accordance with the State Administrative Manual requirements.

Department Information

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) protects consumers and oversees financial service providers and products. The DFPI supervises the operations of state-licensed financial institutions, including banks, credit unions and money transmitters. Additionally, the DFPI licenses and regulates a variety of financial service providers, including securities brokers and dealers, investment advisers, payday lenders and other consumer finance lenders.
