The position reports to SCC Headquarter office located in Oakland, CA, and is eligible for telework, in accordance with SCC’s Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Beginning on July 1, per Governor Gavin Newsom’s Executive Order, state employees currently covered by a hybrid telework policy will transition to a schedule that includes a default of four days a week in the office. Telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.

Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Associate Accounting Analyst (AAA) Limited Term, works independently performing a wide variety of difficult and complex financial and accounting analysis, reconciling and preparing Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) financial statements, budgetary/legal basis financial statements, and additional duties that include, but are not limited to complex fund and other monthly reconciliations and analyzing and resolving reconciling items for various funds.

Working Conditions

• The Conservancy has a telework policy for Headquarter (HQ) employees, that allows staff to telework up to 3 days per work week. Telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
• A computer for teleworking will be provided.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday, eight hours per day. Prolonged periods of sitting (or standing, if preferred) are expected.
• Position require repetitive movements and physical activity in the performance of daily certain duties.
• Work on a computer up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with accommodation as needed.
• Indoor work is common, although outdoor work may be necessary.
• Multitask, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities in a cooperative manner.
• Travel by car or plane, with overnight stays necessary on occasion as necessary.
