Job Description and Duties

This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment

Under the direction of the Conservancy Project Development Manager (CPDM) / Staff Services Manager (SSM) II Managerial (Mgrl), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) for the San Gabriel & Lower Los Angeles (SGLLA) Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) implements the Conservancy's approved policies, work plans and programs. Major functions of the position include all activities related to the acquisition, development and restoration of open space, wildlife habitat, low impact recreation, watershed improvements, and related educational uses.

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Special Requirements

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience and/or a degree in planning, environmental science, or natural resource management or conservation
  • Knowledge and interest in the principles and practices of conservation and urban green space planning
  • Experience working with local government and nonprofit organizations
  • Project planning and project management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Project)
  • Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS)
