About this Role:
The Chief, Investigations Division (ID), leads all investigation activities for DHCS programs including Medi-Cal. Activities include fraud data analytics, the Medi-Cal Fraud Hotline, complaint intake, investigative audits, as well as provider and member fraud investigations.
The Chief, ID, is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and processes related to fraud, waste, and abuse investigations under the Division's purview and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
The Chief, ID, builds collaborative working relationships with DHCS Executive Staff, program partners, and external stakeholders, including the California Health and Human Services Agency, the Governor's Office, the California Department of Justice, and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The Chief, ID, works under the general direction of the Deputy Director, Audits and Investigations, and is a member of DHCS Executive Staff.
This position is subject to the Department's Conflict of Interest Code and filing a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) upon assuming office, annually while in office, and upon leaving office.
