Under the general administrative direction of the Chief Technology Officer (Information Technology Manager II), the Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure hybrid-infrastructure solutions necessary to support Lottery business operations. Provides strategic and technical leadership as well as mastery-level technical expertise to drive continuous improvement of the Lottery's technology infrastructure. Serves as a key technology advisor to Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) leadership on formulating comprehensive technical infrastructure strategies, policies, and governance processes. Serves as a technical lead on infrastructure modernization projects.

This position is headquartered at the Sacramento HQ and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.

a. Schedule: This position supports the Lottery during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekends, long and/or irregular hours, after-hours work, and holiday work may be required.

c. Other: This position may be required to carry a Lottery-issued mobile phone. This position may be required to be reachable outside of normal business hours.
