Job Description and Duties

Department of Water Resources (DWR) is recruiting for a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join its SAP Analytic Reporting unit as an Enterprise Analytics Data Modeler/Reports developer. The individual will join one of the most talented and progressive IT shops in CA state government and work with the DWR team to support the Department’s SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) analytics and reporting needs in a state-of-the-art technology environment. If you’re up for the challenge, apply within and tell us more about yourself!

Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature.  We manage California’s water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Experience or knowledge of any of the following:
    • SAP, ERP, or other mission critical, enterprise scale applications
    • ABAP, SQL, or OOP languages
    • SAP Business Objects or other BI reporting tools
    • SAP HANA database environment and design tools
  • Creative thinker with a demonstrated history of applying excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills to solving complex problems
  • Ability to effectively complete competing workloads and projects in a timely manner.
