The State Water Resources Control Board’s Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) Section has an opening for a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) to lead the Progress and Performance Unit. This position is located in downtown Sacramento at 1001 I Street, with access to public transportation and nearby amenities.
As a unit supervisor, you will oversee staff who provide technical, scientific and analytical support for laboratory enforcement and accreditation activities, ensuring data used in critical environmental and public health decisions is accurate, defensible, and compliant with regulatory standards. You’ll play a vital role in promoting data integrity, developing standards, and supporting ELAP’s quality management goals—all while shaping the future of California’s environmental laboratory landscape.
