The Department of State Hospitals – Metropolitan is currently accepting applications for Psychologist (Health Facility – Clinical – Safety), Permanent/Full-Time. Working Title: Clinical Psychologist (Health Facility)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction of a Senior Psychologist, the Clinical Psychologist participates in a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment for patients within a State Hospital setting. The candidate is expected to work with a population that has been adjudicated; PC1370 incompetent to stand trial, PC1026 not guilty by reason of insanity, or committed under LPS conservatorship.
Alternative Work Week Schedules, including 4/10s (four ten-hour days) may be available. Additionally, 1-day per week of telework may be authorized after 4/1/2025.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of the education and experience for the appropriate specialty (Clinical, Counseling, Educational, Experimental, or Social) as outlined in Section 1396 of the Board of Psychology's Regulations.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience working at: DSH, CONREP, CDCR, County Jail, Locked LPS Hospital, IMD, or similar facility.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Unlicensed candidates must demonstrate that they have completed a pre-doctoral internship, or will be completing a pre-doctoral internship by the time of appointment.
