Job Description and Duties

THE RIVERSIDE NORTH CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL LOCAL OFFICE IS RECRUITING FOR A PERMANENT, FULL-TIME OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING). POSITION IS LOCATED IN RIVERSIDE, CA. 

The Office Technician (Typing) OT(T) provides all clerical support for the Regional Manager, including typing reports and correspondence, answering and screening telephone calls, and helping gather information for statistic, logging and tracking legal correspondence. The OT(T) processes highly confidential personnel transactions, maintains personnel files and attendance records, completes attendance reports and employee benefits forms. The OT(T) prepares office statistical reports including monthly workload volume, personnel, and other monthly summary reports, completes billing and record keeping functions for the civil penalty system, has knowledge of office equipment, and orders office 
supplies. The OT(T) may also provide lead clerical support to a limited number of clerical staff. Applications will be screened and only the most qualified will be selected for interview. 

The OT (T) must be able to assist with workload demands within the office and must use good judgment in accurately evaluating situations and taking effective action. The OT(T) works with confidential and sensitive information and is expected to maintain the confidentiality of information accessed during the course of their duties. 
Receives direct supervision from the Regional Manager or Office Services Supervisor II. Interacts with all office staff and has telephone and personal contact with representatives of other Departmental units, outside agencies and the general public. 

Failure to plan appropriately and direct emphasis to the highest priorities may result in critical assignments exceeding deadlines. Inappropriate or delayed responses to written or verbal requests for information may result in adverse criticism from the public, legislators, other agencies, etc.
