Job Description and Duties

The Civil Engineering Branch’s Office Technician (Typing) provides support for an office of approximately 40 civil engineers by taking notes and minutes in meetings, scheduling meetings, ordering and taking stock of office supplies, researching and booking travel arrangements, preparing expense claims, assisting hiring supervisors with the hiring process, greeting and directing visitors, welcoming new staff and preparing their workspace, reviewing and editing reports for grammar and format, directing mail and incoming deliveries, writing and issuing emails on behalf of managers, keeping training records, keeping stock and inventory of safety gear, maintaining the organization of common workspaces, and pass out paychecks.

This is a Permanent-Intermittent position with a maximum of 1,500 hours of work per year.
