Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, Office of Tourism the Office Technician, performs clerical support duties associated with daily operations and support of the Tourism Assessment Program. The California Tourism Market Act provides for the marketing of California through an assessment of businesses that benefit from travel and tourism. The Tourism Assessment Program is responsible for assisting with the identification of those businesses and the collection of the assessment.

Working Conditions

Hybrid: This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires reporting in-person to Sacramento headquarters, 3 times a week. #li-hybrid

Statement of Qualification Instructions:

Interested individuals must submit a SOQ. The SOQ must be in 12-point font, single-spaced, and no more than 2 page in length. The SOQ must address the following in numerical order; do not consolidate responses:

1. Describe your work experience (including number of years). educational background and training that has prepared you to perform the responsibilities of this position?

2. Describe your experience (duties and length of experience) providing administrative office supprt to fellow staff or management and what programs you used (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).

3. Describe in detail how you prioritize multiple tasks and your strategies for ensuring accurate completion of assignments/projects.  What tools or techniques do you use to stay organized, especially when working under pressure and under tight timelines?
