Job Description and Duties

Looking for a position that is new, exciting, and challenging? Do you enjoy a job that requires you to be adaptable, flexible, and keeping you on your toes? Under supervision of the Facilities and Property Services (FPS), Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the incumbent will be responsible for lease and facilities management duties, project management, contract administration, and administrative and security services. The SSA may assist the Associate Business Management Analyst (ABMA) on more complex projects.

Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature.  We manage California’s water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.

Special Requirements

Periodic travel may be required to field locations that may also require overnight stay.  A valid California Class C driver’s license will be required to drive a vehicle on State business.

Seeking a candidate with the ability both take direction and be proactive, as well as work independently and with a team, excellent time management skills, meeting deadlines/multitask, be results and customer service oriented, interpreting and applying polices, excellent oral and written communication, project management experience, experience in facilities and property management, experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams, SAP experience or similar, be able to learn and adapt when needed on projects, make sound business judgments, and have analytical abilities.
