In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Knowledge of established techniques and practices for classifying and cataloging materials
• Knowledge of standard search strategies, commonly used bibliographic information sources, and computer systems search capabilities
• Ability to use computer programs, systems, and databases to perform professional library functions such as using search engines and databases such as ProQuest, Science Direct, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase
• Experience in negotiating contracts with publishers and writing scopes of work.
• Background in science, especially toxicology and epidemiology.
