• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the organization of California state government, administration, and large-scale operations.
• Demonstrated experience advising executives on complex/sensitive operational, project, and legislative matters.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the laws, regulations, rules, and processes that govern the state’s legislative process.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the laws, regulations, rules, and processes that govern the state’s budget process.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, practices, and trends of administration, organization, and management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, rules, and processes that govern health care programs.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across high levels of government, external organizations, providers, industry associations, and members, resulting in strategic alignment and, ultimately, the achievement of desired outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal partners and external stakeholders on policy and budgetary legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and transformation efforts within and outside the organization, using excellent communication and change management strategies.
