Job Description and Duties

Under close supervision and in a trainee capacity of the Staff Services Manager II (SSMIl) for the Division of Business Services (DBS) and Division of Human Resources (DHR) the incumbent performs routine clerical duties for DBS and DHR.

Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature.  We manage California’s water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.

Special Requirements

Periodic statewide travel may be required to other DWR Division/Office locations. Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License, and have general knowledge of vehicle condition, traffic and driving safety skills and rules.

 

All applicants for Youth Aid positions must meet the following departmental eligibility requirements. 1. Enrolled full-time in high school or in nine (9) semester/ eight (8) quarter units for undergraduate. 2. Must have a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).

    We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and writing); excellent organizational and computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Outlook, Excel, SharePoint; ability to multi-task, meet short deadlines with competing priorities strong customer service, detail oriented, and willingness and ability to excel in a team environment. The incumbent will be expected to maintain consistent and predictable attendance in the performance of their duties. Flexible schedule during office hours up to 1500 hours per year.
