This examination will consist of a review by an executive screening committee of the candidates' Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and application package. An SOQ is a narrative discussion addressing specific statements, of which are aligned with the desirable qualifications of the position, that demonstrate the candidate’s education, training, experience, and skills. The SOQ serves as the examination for this position and shall be the only basis for the candidate’s final score and rank on the eligible list.The SOQ will also serve as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing since this is a critical factor to successful job performance.Candidates will be competitively ranked according to their qualifications using predetermined evaluation criteria consistent with the desirable qualifications for the position.
- The SOQ must be numbered and the DesirableQualifications restated in the same order as the statements above and your responses should provide detailed examples of your experience and overall length of experience related to each statement.
- The SOQ shall not exceed three (3) pages in length, single-spaced, 12-point Arial font, and be in justified paragraph format.
- The document shall be titled “Statement of Qualifications – (Your full name)
- When completing the SOQ, please include all relevant experience, education, and training for each statement.
If you meet the requirements stated in this announcement, you may take this competitive examination. Possession of the Examination
Qualifications requirements does not assure a place on the eligible list. Your performance in the examination will be compared with
the performance of others who take this examination, and all successful candidates will be ranked according to their scores.
A minimum rating of 70% must be attained in the Examination to obtain list eligibility for this position. All candidates will receive
written notification of their examination results.
The results of this examination will only be used to fill this position. Applications will be retained for twelve months.
