Job Description and Duties

It is the mission of the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) to continually enhance the professionalism of California law enforcement in serving its communities.


POST is recruiting for the position of Senior Law Enforcement Consultant (Bureau Chief) in the Compliance, Audit, and Accountability Bureau (CAAB). Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director of the Field Services Division, the Bureau Chief plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the bureau.

Working Conditions

This position is located at POST headquarters in West Sacramento, CA. The office is located in a two-story building with a business park setting.

Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.

This position is Hybrid and may be eligible for telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

  2. Please provide an example where your leadership influenced a positive organizational shift through compliance, audit, and accountability functions focused on detection and prevention of organizational risks.
