Job Description and Duties

Telework is available.

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), Administrative and Office Support Services, Office of Administrative Services (OAS), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) provides administrative, consultative, analytical, and technical support to California Department of Technology (CDT) Directorate. The incumbent provides administrative consultative, analytical, and technical support and may assist Chief Deputies and Executive Management. The AGPA researches and makes recommendations to sensitive departmental program issues/inquires and enables the Directorate to effectively execute their responsibilities by delivering high-quality, efficient, and timely support across a broad range of functions. This includes performing complex and varied analytical and technical tasks with minimal supervision, encompassing personnel, fiscal and budgeting processes, process improvement recommendations, report and dashboard development IT acquisitions and contracts, and project tracking to ensure operational excellence and informed decision-making. The AGPA successfully communicates with individuals from the Governor’s Office, Legislature, State agencies and departments, general public, and the private sector.

Telework
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule within California based on departmental policy and operational needs. The telework policy is subject to change depending on business needs, and/or reporting to the work site may be required with minimal notification given. Pursuant to Executive Order, effective July 1, 2025, employees in this position will be required to report to the work site a minimum of two (2) days per week, increasing to four (4) days per week effective July 1, 2026. The specific on-site days will be determined by the department based on operational requirements.

Working Conditions

This position reports to the Ziggurat in West Sacramento, CA.
