STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATION (SOQ):
In order to be considered for this position, you must submit a statement of qualifications in addition to the standard state application.
The statement of qualifications must be typed, single-spaced, no more than two (2) pages in length, 12-point Arial font, and address the following:
1. Provide an example of a technical issue you encountered that required a complicated solution. What steps did you take, and what was the outcome?
2. Describe a technical project you worked on with others. What was your role and responsibility, and was the end result?
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) are read and serves as a documentation of your ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.
Please Note: A notation or reference to other materials such as cover letters, resumes, degrees, exam results or applications DO NOT take the place of the SOQ.
Applications received without an SOQ or SOQs that do not follow the statements above will not receive further consideration and will be excluded from the hiring process.

If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts for verification. If selected, you may be required to provide official transcripts at the time of hire.
Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are temporary in nature and shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
