Job Description and Duties

The Regional Business Development Manager will receive direction from the Associate Deputy Director, of the California Business Investment Services (CalBIS) unit, and general program direction from the Deputy Director of Business Development.

This position is responsible for and must reside within the greater Central Valley region, which can include but is not limited to Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Kern and more. This position and will act as back- up/assist with surrounding counties when necessary.

Working Conditions

Remote: this position is eligible for a full-time telework schedule under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California but may require reporting in-person at headquarters in Sacramento upon request. #li-hybrid

Salary

IN MOST CASES, ALL NEW TO STATE EMPLOYEES MUST START AT THE MINIMUM OF THE POSTED SALARY RANGE. 

In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). Under this program, employees’ monthly base pay is reduced in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025. The specific rate of pay reduction and corresponding leave credits are determined by the employee’s bargaining unit and classification. Please refer to the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) website here for details regarding the applicable PLP 2025 provisions. The salary listed in this offer letter does not reflect the pay reduction or corresponding leave credits associated with PLP 2025, which remains in effect through June 30, 2027.
