In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Ability to organize detailed audit reports, including analysis of complex factual scenarios, and making objective determinations from the analysis.
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate determinations or audit findings, conclusions, or project results in both written and verbal formats.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements or priorities, demonstrate flexibility, and respond constructively to new information or directions.
• Knowledge of the professional audit standards established by the Red Book.
• Strong communication skills, including clear oral and written communication, and effective listening.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Foundational understanding of California and federal auditing authority and guidelines, with the ability to develop technical proficiency through on-the-job learning.
• Ability to research, interpret, and apply State and Federal regulations and funding requirements, with guidance as needed.
• Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills to support the completion of IAU’s goals and objectives.
