Job Description and Duties

Are you organized and detail-oriented? Do you enjoy supporting a team in keeping critical processes running smoothly? The Authorization and Certification Program is seeking a motivated Office Technician to serve as our Administrative Support Technician and provide essential administrative and personnel support to our program. Please consider joining our team!

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate attendance records and supporting staff throughout the employee lifecycle. You’ll perform a variety of clerical and recordkeeping duties to support daily office operations. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating attendance records, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, and filing personnel-related paperwork. You will assist in coordinating program responses to special projects and assignments too. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, can prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, and is proficient in using a personal computer and common software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

This position is located in the California Justice Information Services Division, Bureau of Criminal Information & Analysis,  Applicant & Record Quality Services Branch, Authorization & Certification Program, Training and Administrative Support Section.

Additional Salary Information:
 Please note that all new to state employees will be given the minimum salary of the classification. For current state employees and/or those with reinstatement rights, your salary will be determined in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Personal Leave Program: Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary wage reductions in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) accruals. The specific rate and hours earned were negotiated and agreed upon by each bargaining unit. The actual monetary impact of these temporary reductions can vary based on your bargaining unit and/or federal and state tax withholdings.
