SOQ questions are listed below.The SOQ is a narrative discussion addressing each of the questions listed in the Desirable Qualifications section of how your education, training, experience, and skills qualify you for the position. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. Applications without the SOQ or with an SOQ that does not follow the instructions listed below may be disqualified. A complete application package that does not conform to these instructions/requirements may also be disqualified.
- SOQ must be typed and limited to two pages, in font not smaller than size 11 Arial font and 1" margins.

SOQ Questions: - Describe your administrative or managerial experience related to implementing complex health care programs that must comply with state and federal law and carrying out any legal or administrative action to compel health care entities to comply with program requirements. Provide examples which demonstrate your ability to engage in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies to achieve the mission and objectives of the program.
- Describe your knowledge and experience working in health care law working as a principal advisor to high level executive staff, state control agencies, high level committees and boards, the Legislature, or other governmental or business organizations. Provide examples of how you gained confidence and support, and the resulting outcomes.
- Describe your administrative or managerial experience leading complex litigation or evaluation of health care transactions that may impact market competition, access, quality, and affordability. Provide examples and describe the impact on your organization or client.
- Describe your knowledge and understanding of current health policy trends and issues as it relates to the role of data and information to transparently report on performance of health care entities, state and federal laws governing anticompetitive practices, and analyzing emerging trends impacting the health care market. Describe your experience presenting complex issues to executive management, external stakeholders, legislative committees or regulatory bodies and the resulting outcomes.

Qualifications requirements does not assure a place on the eligible list. Your performance in the examination will be compared with
the performance of others who take this examination, and all successful candidates will be ranked according to their scores.
A minimum rating of 70% must be attained in the Examination to obtain list eligibility for this position. All candidates will receive
written notification of their examination results.
The results of this examination will only be used to fill this position. Applications will be retained for twelve months.
