The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ is a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience, and skills qualifies you for the position. The SOQ is not a resume or cover letter. To be considered for the position, applicants must submit an SOQ with their application.
Applications received without an SOQ will NOT be accepted and will be excluded from the hiring process. Applicants who fail to follow these requirements, or who do not provide responses to the specific question prompts, will be disqualified from the selection process. Write your responses carefully, as they are the initial evaluation of your application. Failure to follow these guidelines and/or answer the questions may result in your application being disqualified.
When preparing your SOQ, please adhere to the following requirements:
• Limit your response to two pages
• Use 12-point Arial font
• Number your pages
• Address each question in the order presented below
1.Describe your knowledge of privacy laws and your experience protecting confidential information and addressing potential privacy violations.
2. Describe a time you developed and implemented short-and long-term policies across multiple departments. Provide an example of a cross-functional challenges you faced, your strategic approach, and the measurable results your policies achieved in reaching administrative goals.
3. Describe your experience collaborating within a cross-functional or multi-department project team. Detail the scope of the project, your specific role and responsibilities, the skills or solutions you contributed and the measurable outcome or impact of your work.
