The Department of Social Services, Information Systems Division (ISD), Information Security & Privacy Office (ISPO) is seeking an Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) to support cybersecurity, audit readiness, risk management, and compliance functions. This position plays a key role in preparing the Department for external audits and assessments by coordinating the collection and validation of technical documentation, maintaining risk and compliance records, researching regulatory requirements, and supporting the implementation of security controls.
The ITS I analyzes audit and compliance data, develops reports and metrics, evaluates security standards, and collaborates with technical teams to improve documentation quality, strengthen control effectiveness, and enhance enterprise security posture.
Duties include:
• Coordinating the gathering, organization, and validation of audit documentation and technical evidence for external oversight reviews.
• Maintaining audit logs, risk registers, compliance repositories, and tracking corrective actions to support ongoing remediation efforts.
• Compiling technical metrics, summaries, and dashboards that support reporting to security leadership and program stakeholders.
• Researching cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements and summarizing impacts for team and leadership awareness.
• Participating in audit preparation activities, technical meetings, and documentation reviews to support audit readiness.
• Drafting, editing, and preparing technical reports, checklists, procedures, and compliance documentation under the guidance of senior specialists.
