The Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Coast Water Board) has an opening for a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer to lead the Waste Discharge Requirements Program. The individual coming into this position will use engineering and wastewater knowledge and technical expertise to manage the Waste Discharge Requirements Program to protect water quality. Statement of Qualifications

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted along with the State Application and serves as documentation of candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. It should be typed, no more than three pages in length, using Arial 12 pt. font, and normal margins.
Concisely describe why you are the best candidate to be selected as a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer to lead the Waste Discharge Requirements Program at the Central Coast Water Board.

The SOQ should include how your knowledge and experience qualify you for this position specifically referencing:

Engineering practices; wastewater discharges to surface water and groundwater; wastewater treatment principles and processes; best management practices to prevent illicit discharges; contaminant fate, transport, and control; water quality management practices; and Water Board’s regulatory authority, state and federal water quality laws and standards, regulations, and policies.
  2. Effectively presenting and communicating technical concepts, preparing technical documents, and providing feedback to others about these oral and written documents.
