Job Description and Duties

The California State Lottery (Lottery) is seeking a collaborative and solution-focused Project Manager to help drive the successful delivery of projects that support our business and strategic goals. This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be approved for remote or office-based telework. Employees must report to their designated headquarters when required, and travel costs to and from the headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Telework eligibility requires residency in California, consistent with Government Code Section 14200.

Role Highlights:
• Lead and manage complex projects within the Lottery’s project portfolio
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and decisions; keep stakeholders informed
• Support the development and enhancement of project management standards, processes, and tools
• Provide project management guidance to divisional project leads, sponsors, and stakeholders

Working Conditions

A. Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM PST (After hours may be needed to ensure the delivery of project related duties for the California State Lottery)

B. Minimal: On demand travel may be required to facilitate / participate in project related activities.

C. Other: The incumbent must maintain an expert level understanding of best practices related to Project Management methodologies. The incumbent will work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, and mission critical deliverables.
