This position is located in the Sacramento Headquarters office at May Lee State Office Complex. When traditional avenues are unable to resolve a taxpayer’s issue, concern, or problem, the Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate Office (TRA) is the place they contact. Under the general supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator II, the TT II learns and independently performs clerical and technical duties. The incumbent fulfills a wide variety of routine advisory services to taxpayers and other governmental agencies by phone or in writing and is responsible for performing a variety of technical functions for the Taxpayers' Rights Advocate (TRA) Office. The TT II may be the taxpayers’ first point of contact with the TRA Office and must exercise tact, empathy, and good judgment. The TT II is responsible for working on technical assignments and assisting team members in communicating with taxpayers. On a routine basis, the TT II will assist team members with research on taxpayer accounts and will perform other related duties as necessary.

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
