Job Description and Duties

Please note that this is a limited-term, full-time position with the possibility of being extended up to 24 months, or may become permanent.

Under the direction of the BSO Procurement Manager, the Analyst II (A II) is responsible for independently performing analytical business services-related tasks in a variety of functions, including the procurement of Information Technology (IT) and Non-IT Goods and Services as mandated within the State Administrative Manual (SAM), State Contracting Manual (SCM), and all other policies, guidelines, and memorandums.

This position is hybrid, but is required to work 4 days per week in-office in accordance with Department policy.

In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees’ monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the salary reduction.

Department Information

The California Civil Rights Department (CRD) formally known as Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH or Department) is the civil rights enforcement agency for the State of California. CRD’s mission is to protect all people in California from employment, housing and public accommodation discrimination, human trafficking and hate violence.

The CRD is the largest state civil rights enforcement agency in the country. It enforces the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Unruh Civil Rights Act, Disabled Person Act, Ralph Civil Rights Act and the California Trafficking Victims Protection Act. The Department has jurisdiction over both private and public entities operating within the State of California, including corporate entities, private sector companies that contract with the State of California, and all State department and Local governments.
