Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is a discussion of how an applicant's education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria in the duty statement and qualify the applicant for the position.

Please include a 1-2 page(s), 12-point font, Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that addresses the following:
1. Describe your experience with wildfire, vegetation management and/or forestry science field inspections.
2. Describe an experience preparing inspection or investigation findings and how you communicate complex scientific findings to members of the public, external stakeholders, and/or agency representatives.
3. Describe your experience inspecting to State environmental regulations and/or industry standards, documenting findings, and communicating findings.
4. Describe your experience working in diverse teams of scientists on complex wildfire risk reduction or Utility vegetation management projects.
Failure to include and complete the SOQ may result in disqualification for interview.
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.
