PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR– SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / FACILITY MAINTENANCE / HENRY COWELL REDWOODS STATE PARK
The reporting location for this position is Henry Cowell Redwoods SP in Felton, CA. This position will work under the general direction of Park Maintenance Chief II.
The Park Maintenance Supervisor (PMS) will plan, direct, and supervise daily operations of the Facility Maintenance program. The PMS is responsible for the Santa Cruz District Equipment program, District equipment maintenance, housekeeping, groundskeeping, training and facility maintenance programs. The PMS is responsible for accounting functions such as, budgeting, spending and tracking of Cat1 monies, housing allocations, seasonal allocations and contingency fund accounts. The incumbent will also work collaboratively with other program areas and cooperating agencies, provide liaison with contractors, vendors, special interest groups and other government agencies.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Special Requirement/Condition of Employment: Depending on the assigned location, the incumbent may be required to occupy state-owned housing to meet operational needs or may be offered state-owned housing if available. Housing assignments will be determined in accordance with Department policy, operational priorities, and applicable labor agreements.
