Job Description and Duties

Are you a dynamic leader ready to join a high-functioning team, leading an established program into the future? Look no further, State Fund’s Premium Audit program wants to hear from you!

Premium Audit has a full time opening for an Audit Manager (Manager II). Under general direction of the VP Premium Audit Services, the selected candidate will manage operations of assigned Audit teams in a region to achieve budget, inventory, and performance objectives. In addition, the Audit Manager will be responsible to:

• Plan, assess/monitor and optimize inventory management and audit results across the teams;
• Recruit, select/hire, train, develop, appraise, discipline and maintain a staff of qualified audit technical, professional and supervisory personnel;
• Oversee, assess and ensure productivity of assigned audit teams according to corporate and industry benchmarks;
• Ensure workload balance across auditing units;
• Promote coordination and team building between units and across the program;
• Contribute to program projects on corporate and industry-wide issues; and,
• Demonstrate leadership skills and promote leadership development to subordinate supervisors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who is analytical and flexible and has an understanding of State Fund's vision to operate efficiently and effectively. This position offers telework from home and may be required to travel. Travel and possession of a California Driver’s License are requirements of the job. This is considered a field position, and mileage reimbursement is available. Ability to travel to any State Fund office for meetings and or training is required.

Special Requirements

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period in accordance with the applicable bargaining contract. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
