The most competitive candidate will have a record of building and maintaining positive working relationships across branches and divisions and with all levels of management, as well as external stakeholders. Knowledge of, or experience with, the following specialized areas is also desirable:
- Freight transportation and facilities;
- Seaport and marine terminal operations and equipment;
- Ocean-going vessels;
- Emission reduction strategies and programs;
- Diesel engines;
- Alternative fuels;
- Zero and near-zero emission technologies;
- Verification and certification procedures; and
- Customer service leadership.
