In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Knowledge of basic auditing principles, internal controls, and professional standards (e.g., GAGAS/Yellow Book, Global Internal Audit Standards/Red Book).
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret data, policy documents, state statutes, and administrative regulations.
• Ability to assist in conducting detailed audit testing, sample validation, and preparing organized, accurate workpapers.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize audit findings, test results, and draft clear working notes.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to conduct information gathering interviews and work effectively with team members and program staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), with an emphasis on basic data organization and spreadsheet functions.
• Ability to manage time effectively, follow structured audit programs, and adapt to changing priorities.
