The Central Office Division of the Disability Insurance (DI) Branch is seeking a results-oriented Supervisor I to manage and lead the Central Office Operations Unit.
In this critical role, you will oversee staff who provide essential administrative, technical, and operational support to the Central Office Division. You will ensure that workflows, policies, and procedures are aligned with the goals of the Employment Development Department (EDD) and the DI Branch, while fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational skills to motivate staff, oversee complex administrative operations, and maintain operational efficiency. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, provide guidance on sensitive and confidential matters, and support informed decision-making across the Division. This position offers the opportunity to shape how support services contribute to the success of the DI and Paid Family Leave programs, while leading a team committed to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

This position is headquartered in the Central Office in Sacramento. This position allows for a hybrid telework schedule, which is subject to change, under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telework. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, for their in-office days.
