All interested applicants are required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). Please provide direct responses to each of the numbered items listed below. Applicants must number and include the full text of the SOQ items in their response. Please include specific examples of your education, training, and/or experience. SOQs should be limited to a maximum of two (2) pages, single-spaced, twelve-point Arial font. Resumes, letters, and other materials will not be considered a response to the SOQ. Applications submitted without an SOQ will be excluded from consideration.
1. Statewide Enablement & Mentorship: Describe a time when you designed and led an enterprise-level Business Intelligence (BI) or analytics capability-building initiative across non-technical or multi-disciplinary teams. How did you structure training, playbooks, or technical guidance to ensure long-term independence after your engagement ended?
2. Business Intelligence & Data Modeling: Give a specific example of how you transitioned an organization away from manual, spreadsheet-heavy reporting processes to an automated Power BI solution or robust semantic model. What data modeling best practices, governance rules, or automated refresh strategies did you put in place to ensure reporting reliability and ease of use?
3. Metrics & Evaluation: How have you translated high-level, complex operational goals into concrete, measurable metrics? Describe the framework, data pipelines, or audit processes you used to evaluate system performance and maintain data quality over time.
Note: Applicants who do not follow these instructions may be disqualified from the selection process. Cover letters and resumes do not take the place of the SOQ.
