Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the CWS-NS PM Service Manager (IT II Sup), the Project Management Lead/Scrum Master (ITS I) is the team lead providing leadership and support to the agile project management, business analysis and scrum master tasks in support of the CWS-NS Project. The CWS-NS project is a large, complex multi-million dollar project and considered a “demonstration” project due to using agile methodologies and having multiple vendors developing the software. This role supports project management processes and ensures that project management activities are conducted in accordance with project management plans, OSI Best Practices, and agile standards.  In addition, the incumbent handles the most complex IT Projects and provides a strong link and collaboration amongst the project’s other scrum masters and service teams.

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • Experience in software development projects as a project lead or business analyst on small-medium projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
  • At least one (1) year of Project Management (PM) and/or Agile experience.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or other formal PM training.
  • Current Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Excellent Written, Verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience using Pivotal Tracker, Jira or a comparable Agile PM collaboration application.
  • Experience preparing PM reports, such as dashboards and PSRs.
  • Experience in developing project documentation, including PM plans, processes and procedures.
  • Experience working as a team member on a scrum team.
  • Dependable, responsible, positive attitude.
  • Ability to research and analyze all aspects of existing business practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Knowledge of PMBOK methodologies.
