Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the SSM III, the OT is responsible for providing a variety of clerical support services to the bureau and Branch management and staff.  The position requires detailed knowledge of Departmental operations and clerical procedures, excellent computer, typing, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.  The incumbent is required to maintain consistent and regular attendance and must adhere to Departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance and leave.  Also required are good communication skills, both written and oral, as well as, the ability to act independently.  The position also serves as back up to the Branch OT, Division Executive Assistant, and other clerical positions.

Working Conditions

This work location is very convenient!  The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation; within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. We offer an onsite cafeteria, onsite Golden 1 ATM, workout room and onsite day care services. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50 and Highway 80.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are considered limited term, 12 months, and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
