Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2020, State employees are subject to a 9.23% salary reduction in exchange for up to 16 hours of the Personal Leave Program 2020 (PLP 2020) per month.

State Funds’ Enterprise Security unit has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Security Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience advising security leadership on matters related to regulatory and industry compliance risks.  The incumbent will work under the leadership of the Enterprise Security Management and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

In this role the Enterprise Security Analyst will:

  • Evaluate incoming Risk Assessments and advise State Fund programs on security risks and mitigating controls
  • Interface with management, team members, and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements
  • Develop/maintain information security policies/standards
  • Perform analytical technical security functions such as forensics analyses or security incident response duties
  • Develop and deliver information security awareness training to the State Fund Workforce
  • Perform incoming Legal Hold, Data Loss Prevention, and computer investigation requests
  • Provide security expertise in areas including, but not limited to, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and contract language for security provisions

Desirable Qualifications

As a successful candidate, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and/or experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced experience in communicating at all levels of an organization from technical team member to senior leadership
  • Experience in developing/writing policy guidelines, standards, and controls
  • Working knowledge and understanding of information security risks and mitigations
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Working experience of emergent security risks
  • Act with integrity, think strategically, commit to quality and demonstrates adaptability
  • CISA and/or CISSP certifications will be a plus
  • Experience developing reporting and metric structure
  • Working experience of security, policy compliance, and governance frameworks including: NIST-800 series, etc.
  • Experience conducting compliance reviews for adherence to the SDLC and security policies/standards
  • Working experience of Forensics, Threat Intelligence, and Security Incidents
