Job Description and Duties

Are you enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service? Are you interested in human resources and the State hiring process? Are you able to research regulations and provide recommendations based on your findings? Do you enjoy collaborating in a team environment and sharing ideas with your peers? The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Human Resources, Classification and Pay Section is looking for analysts with great customer service and analytical skills. The selected candidates will provide guidance and assistance on the hiring process to the general public looking for information about employment with CDCR and to hiring managers looking to fill vacant positions. We are looking for analysts who are dedicated to providing timely service and hiring support throughout the Department. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to join us!

 

This position is and is located downtown, close to light rail, restaurants, and retail shops.

Special Requirements

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department testing on an annual basis thereafter.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined a candidate does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
