Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of the Chief Information Officer (Information Technology Manager I), the Information Technology (IT) Specialist II serves as Application Architect responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and on-going support of the CCC enterprise applications. The incumbent serves as a highly skilled technical specialist for the most complex applications and information technology problems and responsible for implementing new features as prioritized by the project team and to resolve bugs/issues in the code base for CCC systems. Works closely with Subject Matter Experts to understand the scenario requirements, and then to improve, implement, design, or resolve technical issues as needed.

The duties for this position are focused on the Software Engineering domain, however, work may be assigned in other domains as needed.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
  • Experience in analyzing and maintaining code in Salesforce using APEX and Visual Force programming concepts including core design patterns, limits and bulk patterns, efficient and reliable trigger handling, asynchronous/synchronous operations, and effective unit testing.
  • Experience in creating innovative front-end User Interfaces in Salesforce that are simple, intuitive, and efficient
  • Experience with Accounting, Budget, and HR processes
  • Experience in developing, analyzing, and writing SQL queries on NoSQL and SQL Server platforms
  • Experience in writing reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience in writing technical specification documents based on a proposed Business Requirements Document
  • Experience in preparing and writing test cases using Salesforce
  • Experience communicating with executive management on application updates/changes/resolution
  • Experience in documenting processes and maintaining updates
  • Experience supporting a geographically dispersed business environment including remote office locations and teleworking
  • Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work collaboratively to resolve technical issues
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and manage changing priorities
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain a strong working relationship with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to find creative solutions to technical and non-technical challenges
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current technologies, security vulnerabilities and remote support principles
